Since being called to the Ontario bar in 1983, Paul has been in private practice and has practiced entertainment and arts law exclusively. Paul is the author of the legal texts “Musicians and the Law in Canada” (Carswell Legal Publication), now in its fourth edition, Music Law Handbook for Canada Volume I and II (Seraphim Editions) and Artists’ Contracts: Agreements for Visual and Media Artists (CARFAC Ontario) now in its 3rd edition.

Paul Sanderson is a full member of the League of Canadian Poets.

His poetry has been published in “The Tower,” “Zygote” and “The White Wall Review” poetry journals.

His first chapbook, “Biological Seasons”, was published in 1996. His first full length book of poetry “Learning Curves” was published by Seraphim Editions in 2003. His second chapbook, “The Golden Thumb & Acirema” was published in 2010.

He studied poetry with Susan Ioannou and Rhea Tregebov at Ryerson Polytechnical University and has participated in numerous poetry readings live and on radio. For more information, see

He is also an accomplished award winning photographer, founder of the original blues band Blue Room,, in which he is lead guitarist and songwriter.

Paul is an instructor at Metalworks Institute of Sound and Music Production and in this position he provides education on such areas as Entertainment Agreements, Contractual and Legal Aspects of Live Show Production, and Intellectual Property.
